'Innocent lives should not be lost'
Addressing the debate organized on the topic 'Situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine' in the General Assembly, Harish said that India is concerned about the situation in Ukraine. We believe that the loss of innocent lives is unacceptable and no solution can be found on the battlefield. An early end to the conflict in Ukraine is in everyone's interest.
'This is not the era of war'
He said that as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said on many occasions, 'This is not the era of war. India is ready to support diplomatic efforts to end the conflict soon.
Harish said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in touch with President Putin, Zelensky and the European leadership on the current situation. We believe that all these diplomatic efforts will help in ending the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and opening up possibilities for lasting peace.
