New Delhi: Donald Trump has warned that the United States could take stronger action against Iran if Tehran refuses to meet Washington’s conditions regarding its nuclear program.

Speaking before departing the White House on Tuesday, Trump said Iran must either accept the proposed terms or face serious consequences. “They’ll either do the right thing, or we’ll finish the job,” he stated while addressing reporters.

Nuclear Weapons Remain Top Priority

Trump stressed that stopping Iran from developing nuclear weapons remains the primary goal of his administration. He made it clear that economic concerns or market fluctuations in the United States would not influence his approach to negotiations with Tehran.

“I think about one thing: we cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said. He added that the issue was more important than temporary movements in the stock market or broader economic concerns.

The US President also claimed that Americans understand the seriousness of the nuclear issue and support strong action to prevent Iran from acquiring such capabilities.

China Visit Adds Global Significance

Trump’s remarks came just before his high-profile visit to China, where he is expected to meet Xi Jinping. Discussions during the visit are likely to focus on easing trade tensions between the two countries after months of tariff-related disputes.

The sharp comments on Iran have further intensified global attention on the ongoing tensions between Washington and Tehran, especially as diplomatic efforts over Iran’s nuclear activities remain uncertain.
