According to media reports, three people were killed and eight others were injured after overnight strikes hit multiple locations in Hormozgan province. The casualty figures have not been independently verified.
As the conflict intensified, Iran claimed it had disrupted shipping near the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical oil transit routes. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) alleged that two oil tankers exploded after entering a mined route and said four additional vessels attempting to cross the area had been stopped. Independent verification of these claims remains unavailable.
Meanwhile, the US said its naval forces continue to operate in the region to safeguard maritime security and maintain freedom of navigation.
Senior Iranian military officials warned that Tehran could significantly expand its response if US attacks continue. Iran also claimed to have targeted American military assets in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Syria. However, several of those claims were either denied by local authorities or could not be independently confirmed.
Jordan said it intercepted multiple Iranian missiles, while Bahrain and Kuwait heightened security measures amid fears of further escalation. Commercial shipping has also come under increasing pressure, with reports of attacks on vessels operating near the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite renewed international calls for restraint and a return to diplomacy, there is no indication that either side is preparing to step back, raising concerns that the conflict could widen into a broader regional confrontation.
