Apart from this, rail services have come to a halt due to a landslide at Katra-Sangar railway station, while the historic Shiva temple and Pandu cave temple of Bhadarwah have come under the grip of floods. Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra has also been temporarily stopped due to heavy rains.

Devastation due to cloudburst in Doda

There has been massive destruction due to cloudburst in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. At least 10 houses have been swept away in the natural flood from the mountains, and many people are trapped in the debris.

Rescue operations are underway, and the administration and relief teams are engaged in rescuing the trapped people. There is also news of a mild cloudburst in Udhampur, which has caused floods, and people are trapped.

Rail services affected due to landslide

Rail services have been suspended due to a landslide at Tunnel No. 16 between Katra and Sangar railway stations. The movement of trains has come to a halt due to debris falling on the track. Railway teams are engaged in restoring services by removing the debris. Passengers have been advised to get information about the status of trains before traveling.

Historical temples in danger

The historic Shiva temple and Pandu cave temple of Bhadarwah have been hit by floods. The priests and other members of the temple have been shifted to safer places, but the temple is likely to be damaged. Apart from this, the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra has been stopped due to heavy rains, causing inconvenience to the passengers.
