Jammu: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday carried out multiple searches across the Jammu region in connection with a money laundering probe into the alleged grabbing of custodian land. Raid At 9 Locations According to official sources, the raids were conducted at nine locations in Jammu and one in Udhampur under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The searches are linked to revenue department officials, including Patwaris Pranav Dev Singh and Rahul Kai, and Naib Tehsildar Akeel Ahmed, besides several others. With the raids underway, the ED is expected to gather crucial evidence regarding the money trail and the role of officials in the alleged land grab racket. Earlier Raids The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday raided 32 locations across Kashmir in a terror conspiracy case, officials said. The raids targeted hybrid militants and overground workers (OGWs) affiliated with various proscribed terrorist organisations. The NIA conducted a series of searches on Thursday across Kashmir as part of its continuing investigations against terror conspiracy by Pakistan-backed proscribed terrorist organizations and their offshoots to destabilise Jammu and Kashmir.
