Ranchi: The mortal remains of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren are now on the final journey. His body is being taken to his native village in Ramgarh from the Jharkhand Assembly premises. Last rites will be performed at 2 pm with State Honors in Nemra, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

A Guard Of Honour was paid to the mortal remains of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Union Minister Jummel Oraon, Annapurna Devi Sanjay Seth along with many MLAs of JMM, BJP and Congress and Ministers of Jharkhand Government were present on the occasion.
Shibu Soren passed away after a long illness. He had kidney disease and had a stroke almost a month and a half ago. He was on life support for the past month.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren talked about his father's hospital stay on 24 June. He said, "He was admitted here recently, so we came to visit him. His health is being checked."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the hospital on Monday to pay his final respects to the former Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder, Shibu Soren.
Modi met with Shibu Soren's son, Hemant Soren, who is currently the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. During their meeting, Modi shared pictures of the interaction on social media platform X, saying, "I paid my heartfelt tributes to former Jharkhand CM Shibu Soren. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families in this time of grief. His entire life was dedicated to the welfare of the tribal society, for which he will always be remembered. "
Hemant Soren was clearly emotional during the meeting, and Modi gave him a comforting hug. Shibu Soren, known as Guruji, was 81 years old when he passed away.
