Javed Akhtar visits Salim Khan at Lilavati Hospital
Mumbai: Renowned screenwriter Salim Khan continues to recuperate in Lilavati Hospital here in Mumbai. Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, was brought to the hospital after his health deteriorated. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre due to swelling in his body.
Javed Akhtar, long time co-screenwriter of Salim Khan, visited his friend in the hospital on Wednesday.
Salim-Javed revolutionised Hindi cinema in the 1970s with classics such as Seeta Aur Geeta, Zanjeer, Deewaar, Sholay, Trishul and Kranti.
Together, they worked on 24 films between 1971 and 1987. Out of these 24 movies, 20 were commercially blockbuster. They became the highest-paid writers of their time. However, their iconic partnership ended after 12 years due unknown reasons (?).
Sanjay Dutt also reached Lilavati Hospital to meet veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and enquire about his health. Dutt, who shares a close bond with the Khan family, has often spoken about his strong relationship with Salman Khan, saying he considers himself a brother to the actor.
Salim Khan's daughter Alvira Khan, son-in-law Atul Agnihotri, and grandson Ayan Agnihotri to visit the renowned screenwriter.
Salim Khan's adopted daughter Arpita Khan's husband, actor Aayush Sharma, was also seen at the hospital.
