According to sources, after being elected as the legislative party leader, Sunetra Pawar is expected to be sworn in as Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister around 5 pm today. She has arrived in Mumbai from Baramati ahead of the swearing-in ceremony. Her sons, Jai Pawar and Naresh Arora, have also accompanied her.

NCP Working President Praful Patel has clarified that there is no opposition within the party to Sunetra Pawar's appointment. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also stated that the government will respect the NCP's internal decision. He said, "This decision is NCP's, and we, as the government and the BJP, stand firmly with them."
