Jagdalpur: Security forces have achieved a significant breakthrough in the ongoing anti-Naxal operation in the Korregutta hills on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. The operation, which has entered its 16th day, has yielded the recovery of 18 Naxalite bodies so far.

The operation, led by Chhattisgarh's additional director general of police (Naxal operations) Vivekanand Sinha, Central Security Force's inspector general Rakesh Agrawal, and Bastar Range's inspector general P Sundar Raj, involves personnel from the Central Security Force, COBRA battalion, Special Task Force, and District Reserve Police Force.

ADG Vivekanand Sinha said that the security forces have recovered 18 bodies of Naxalites so far, and the exchange of fire was continuing.

Meanwhile, Bastar Range's IG P Sundar Raj stated that the operation is expected to yield good results and that all security personnel are safe and committed to maintaining peace and security in the Bastar region.
