Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Council for Science & Technology (UCOST), in collaboration with the Himalayan Academy of Science & Technology (HAST), is organizing the 3rd Pre-Summit of the World Summit on Disaster Management (WSDM 2025) at JNCASR, Bengaluru, on 24th May 2025.

The event will focus on “Technology for Climate and Disaster Resilience, bringing together 200+ experts, government officials, and industry leaders, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Having completed the 1st and 2nd pre-summits at Delhi and Mumbai, respectively, the 3rd pre-summit of WSDM, focusing on ‘Technology for Climate and Disaster Resilience,’ is being organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) Jakkur, Bengaluru, on 24th May 2025 from 9.30 AM to 05.00 PM.

The pre-summit is part of a series leading to the main WSDM 2025 summit in Dehradun (28–30 November). The Bengaluru edition will feature panel discussions on cutting-edge topics like space-based observation systems, disruptive technologies, and implementation challenges in disaster resilience. The Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka is expected to inaugurate the event.

The inaugural session will be addressed by the chief guest at 10:00 AM. Panel discussions covering tech-enabled resilience, geopolitical impacts on climate, and innovative solutions will also take place. The event will feature networking opportunities, including high tea and interactive sessions, to foster collaboration among participants.
