
45 Mortar Shells Seized in Sapore (Img: Dynamite News)
Srinagar: In Sopore of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, security personnel recovered 45 mortar shells through a joint operation carried out on Wednesday.
The joint operation has been carried out by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the 177 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the 52 Rashtriya Rifles in the Ghat Ningli and Sheer Colony areas that fall under the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo.

The mortar shells have been found at a residential house which is owned by Shahbaz Aziz Dar, who is the son of Abdul Aziz Dar, a resident of Sheer Colony.
After the discovery, security forces cordoned off the area and conducted a search to make sure there were no other explosive material around.
The explosive substance that has been found has been handed over to the police. An investigation has been initiated to find out the origin of these mortars, how they were stored in the house, and who was behind this.
According to reports the investigation is underway.
