Ahmedabad/New Delhi: An Air India London-bound flight crashed immediately after take off from Ahmedabad on Thursday, killing 241 out of 242 people, including 12 crew members, on board, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

What Went Wrong?

What went wrong? is the big question that everbody is asking. Various experts have mentioned the possible causes based on the available visuals of the aircraft.

Experts Speak

According to some experts failure of both engines or a bird hit soon after take-off could be among the probable causes that led to the fatal crash.

Some of the senior pilots said that looking at the videos of the crash available publicly, it seems that the engines could not gain the required thrust needed for the take-off. That resulted in a fatal crash into the residential area seconds after it took off.

One of the commanders said it does not seem to be the case of one engine failure because in such a scenario, the aircraft would have been swinging but here, the aircraft was steady.

AAIB To Probe

However, the specific reasons for the crash will be known only after the completion of the detailed probe by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).

Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will probe the Air India plane crash at the Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday, according to an official.
