AI Summit Protest: City Court sends IYC Chief Uday Bhanu to four day police custody

New Delhi: The Patiala House Court on Tuesday sent Uday Bhanu Chib, Chief of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), to four days of police custody. The Delhi Police had sought seven days of custody, but the court granted only four days.

Earlier the Delhi Police had arrested Uday Bhanu Chib over a shirtless protest at the AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. The protest was staged by the members of the Youth Congress on 20 February. The protestors entered the summit venue displaying slogans critical of the India-US trade deal.
