The situation became tense after AI-generated videos showing the alleged complete demolition of the Shahi Masjid were widely circulated online. Authorities said the visuals created confusion as they did not represent the actual situation on the ground.

According to reports, only a portion of the structure was involved in the road-widening process, while claims suggesting that the entire mosque had been demolished were linked to misleading content circulating online.
