Several flights to Europe are also suspended, while alternate routes are being used for North America and European operations.

New Delhi: Following the US and Israeli attacks on Iran, the situation in the Middle East has become extremely tense. Several countries have temporarily closed their airspace for security reasons, impacting international flights. Meanwhile, Air India has taken a major decision and suspended all flights to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar until 11:59 pm (IST) on March 2nd.
According to the airline, all flights to and from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Qatar will remain cancelled. Additionally, six flights to Europe were also cancelled on Monday. Air India also cancelled approximately 50 international flights on Sunday.

The airline announced on social media that the Amritsar-Birmingham (AI 117) and Birmingham-Delhi (AI 114) flights will be cancelled. Additionally, Delhi-Zurich (AI 151 and AI 152) and Delhi-Copenhagen (AI 157 and AI 158) flights will also not operate on Monday. The airline stated that it will operate other flights to North America and Europe using alternative airspace available in West Asia.
Air India has apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers and stated that affected passengers are being notified on their registered mobile numbers and email addresses. Assistance is being provided with re-booking and alternative travel arrangements. Passengers are urged to contact the airline's official website or 24x7 call center for the latest information.

Meanwhile, IndiGo has also issued a statement stating that it is continuously monitoring the situation in the Middle East. The company assured that passenger safety is paramount and all decisions are being taken carefully.
