Ramban:  The 26th batch of devotees participating in the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra successfully crossed the Chanderkote transit point in Ramban district on Monday morning, marking another smooth phase in the ongoing pilgrimage movement towards the revered Amarnath cave shrine.

The convoy moved through National Highway-44 under a comprehensive multi-layer security framework involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), traffic management teams and district administration officials. Security agencies maintained round-the-clock surveillance along the route with the deployment of escort vehicles, security checkpoints, quick response teams and advanced monitoring mechanisms to ensure the safe movement of devotees.

Officials involved in the arrangements stated that the convoy movement remained disciplined and well-coordinated, with traffic regulation measures implemented to maintain a balance between pilgrimage-related transportation and regular civilian movement. The Chanderkote transit facility in Ramban continues to play a vital role as a strategic halting and coordination point for pilgrims travelling from the Jammu base camp towards the Baltal axis.
