New Delhi: The BJP High Command has taken a significant step regarding the selection of the Legislative Party Leader in two key states. The party has officially announced the names of the central observers and co-observers, sending a clear signal that the leadership selection process will be conducted in a strategic and balanced manner.
The Responsibility for Bengal Rests on Amit Shah's Shoulders
In West Bengal-a state considered politically highly sensitive-the party has appointed Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the central observer. His mandate will be to oversee the selection of the new leader of the legislative party.
Joining him as a co-observer is Mohan Charan Majhi, the Chief Minister of Odisha. The combined experience and strategic acumen of these two leaders are expected to play a pivotal role in ensuring the selection of a strong, consensus-based leadership in Bengal.
Nadda Takes Charge in Assam
Meanwhile, for the key northeastern state of Assam, the BJP has designated the party's National President, Jagat Prakash Nadda, as the central observer.
Assisting him as a co-observer is Nayab Singh Saini, the Chief Minister of Haryana. Together, the duo will finalize the process for selecting the leader of the legislative party in Assam.

This move by the BJP underscores the party's priority on experience, local political dynamics, and organizational equilibrium in its leadership selection process.
