Retired IAS officer Amitabh Kant (KL:80) has chosen a private sector role after his government service, joining IndiGo as a Non-Executive Director. Formerly India’s G20 Sherpa and CEO of NITI Aayog, Kant was instrumental in key national initiatives like the Aspirational Districts Programme, Digital India, and the Green Hydrogen Mission.

New Delhi: After retiring, Amitabh Kant opted for a private sector role over a government position. IndiGo has appointed the retired IAS officer (KL:80) as a Non-Executive Director, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Kant previously served as India’s G20 Sherpa, was the former CEO of NITI Aayog, and played a key role in major national initiatives such as the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP), Green Hydrogen, and Digital India.
