Assam: An Indian Air Force (IAF) AN-32 transport aircraft crashed and caught fire at the Air Force Station in Jorhat, Assam, on Saturday, triggering a major emergency response operation.
According to preliminary reports, the military transport aircraft met with an accident while attempting to land at the Jorhat Airbase. The aircraft reportedly crashed within the airbase premises and burst into flames, causing panic among personnel stationed at the facility.
Firefighters, rescue teams, and emergency response units were immediately deployed to the crash site to contain the blaze and carry out relief operations. The extent of damage and the condition of the crew members are yet to be officially confirmed.
