Axiom-4 Mission: Shubhanshu Shukla to return from ISS after 18 days, family awaits his return

Indian Air Force Group Captain and astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla will return to Earth from the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday after 18 days of space travel. Shubhanshu’s father Shambhu Dayal Shukla and mother Asha Shukla are waiting for his safe return and are fully prepared to welcome him.

Under the Axiom-4 mission, Shubhanshu had been traveling in space with three other astronauts. Talking to ANI, father Shambhu Dayal Shukla said, "We are very excited. We are ready to welcome our son. Undocking will take place this evening. It is a matter of good fortune for us that his mission has been completed. Everyone is waiting for his return." Shambhu Dayal Shukla further said, "We went to the temple in the morning. We also performed puja at home.

We have prayed to Bholenath to bless us so that our son and his companions land safely on earth. We are very proud of him. We never thought that our son would touch such heights. We feel that we are lucky that such a son was born in our house, by whose name we are known." Shubhanshu's mother, Asha Shukla, also expressed her feelings and said, "We pray to God that he completes his mission successfully and comes back to earth as soon as possible and meets us.
