By-Poll Election Result: Is BJP Losing Its Hold Over Bankipur? Prashant Kishore Leads In His First Election

New Delhi: Counting of votes for the by-elections in Bankipur, Bihar; Manjalpur, Gujarat; and Datia, Madhya Pradesh has started. One of the key assemblies among the three is Bankipur in Bihar, as Jan Suraj Chief Prashant Kishor is making his electoral debut from the Bankipur by-poll.

Bankipur seat was represented by BJP national president Nitin Nabin, who recently moved to the Rajya Sabha. BJP and Nabin’ s family has strong hold on this seat for decades, but early trends show that Prashant Kishore is leading from the constituency.
Till now, 4 rounds of the counting have been done out of 31, in which Kishore is leading with a margin of 1145 votes against BJP’s Neeraj Kumar, who has gained 5124 votes, whereas INDIA bloc candidate from RJD Rekha Kumari has gained 884 votes.

Manjalpur By-Poll Result

At Manjalpur constituency, 7 rounds of counting have been completed out of 19, in which BJP’s Satendra Patel is leading with a margin of 12,401 votes while Congress candidate Bhikhabhai Rabari has gained 8,815 votes.
The polls are happening here due to the death of BJP MLA Yogesh Patel in June

Datia By-Poll Result

In the Datia By-Poll result, BJP’s Ashutosh Tiwari is leading with 875 votes in round 2 out of 15, whereas Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh has gained 7,378 votes and Damodar Yadav ‘Mandal’ of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) has gained 3,530 votes. 13 rounds of counting are still remaining.
