KSCA president Raghuram Bhat, secretary A. Shankar, and treasurer E. Jayaram told the Karnataka High Court that gate and crowd management was not the responsibility of the association. They said that the felicitation ceremony held in the assembly was completed without any disturbance, but this accident happened due to lack of security outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. They said that they had no direct role in this accident.

KSCA has announced compensation for the families of the deceased after this incident. The association has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased. Along with this, he has also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
