New Delhi: Bihar politics appears to be taking another major turn. Nitish Kumar, who served as Chief Minister of Bihar for 20 years, is now certain to reach the Upper House of Parliament. While Nitish Kumar filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections yesterday, many leaders within his party JDU, are still surprised by his decision. Several other NDA leaders too are also finding this decision surprising.
According to information received by Dynamite News, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is expected to clarify his stance on his Rajya Sabha candidacy today before party leaders. He will hold a meeting with JD(U) MPs, MLAs, and MLCs in Patna this evening to discuss the party’s future strategy.
There is also speculation that Nitish Kumar may hand over the reins of the JDU to his son, Nishant. Meanwhile, speculation is gaining momentum that Nishant will become the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. However, both options can be kept open for Nishant, and Nitish Kumar may consult with party leaders at a meeting this evening.
