New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has carried out a major BJP Organisational Reshuffle by appointing new state presidents in four key units - Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Tripura.

The move is being seen as part of the party’s broader strategy to strengthen its organisation ahead of upcoming electoral battles in several states.

In the national capital, the BJP has appointed Harsh Malhotra as the new Delhi BJP President. Malhotra, who represents East Delhi in Parliament, is currently serving as Minister of State in the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. He replaces Virendra Sachdeva at the helm of the BJP Delhi unit.

The BJP Leadership Change comes at a politically significant time as the BJP looks to further consolidate its presence in the capital following recent electoral developments.

In Punjab, where Punjab Assembly Elections are due next year, the BJP has handed over organisational command to Kewal Singh Dhillon. He succeeds Sunil Jakhar as the party intensifies preparations for the high-stakes state polls.

With less than a year left before voters head to the ballot box, the leadership transition signals the BJP’s attempt to energise its cadre and sharpen its election strategy in the state.

The party has also announced new presidents for its Haryana and Tripura units as part of the wider restructuring exercise aimed at strengthening grassroots organisation and preparing for future political challenges.
