The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its fourth list of candidates for the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026, naming nominees for 13 constituencies. The party also made a change in its earlier second list, replacing the candidate for Maynaguri (SC).

BJP Names Candidates for 13 Seats in Bengal
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its fourth candidate list for Bengal Assembly Elections. This list, released by the party's Central Election Committee, approves candidates for a total of 13 assembly seats.
According to the list, Ashutosh Barma has been nominated for the Sitai (SC) seat, Girija Shankar Roy for Natabari, and Soma Thakur for Bagda (SC). Uttam Kumar Banik has been nominated for the Magrahat East (SC) seat, and Debangshu Panda for the Falta seat.
In addition, Debashish Dhar has been declared the candidate for Sonarpur North, Santosh Pathak for Chowringhee, Shyamal Hati for Howrah South, and Ranjan Kumar Paul for Panchla.
The fourth list also includes Dr Piyush Kanti Das from Chandipur, Pradeep Lodha from Garbeta, Manav Guha from Memari, and Arijit Roy from Barabani.
The BJP has also made a significant change in its second list. Dalim Roy has now been nominated for the Maynaguri (SC) seat.
