Thiruvananthapuram: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released its manifesto for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections. The document was unveiled in Thiruvananthapuram by party leaders including Rajeev Chandrasekhar, outlining a range of welfare and development promises targeting women, youth, and economically weaker sections.

Key Promises in BJP Kerala Manifesto

Welfare & Financial Support Introduction of a ‘Bhakshya Arogya Suraksha Card’ for women, offering Rs 2,500 per month for medicines and essential food supplies.

Rs 3,000 monthly pension for needy women, widows, and senior citizens aged 70+.

20,000 liters of free water per household every month.

Subsidies & Household Benefits

Two free LPG cylinders annually for poor families-one during Onam and another during Christmas.

Infrastructure & Development Commitment to establish an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Kerala.

Proposal for a high-speed rail corridor connecting Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur.

Religious & Cultural Measures

Reconstitution of Devaswom Boards to enhance the management and security of major temples like Sabarimala and Guruvayur Temple.

Water & Interstate Issues
Assurance to address the Mullaperiyar Dam issue by balancing Tamil Nadu’s water needs with Kerala’s safety concerns.
