Bomb Threat Before BRICS: Delhi Assembly, DPS Vasant Kunj, DM Office and Schools Get Emails Once Again

New Delhi: Security agencies in Delhi were put on alert after the Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta and Sardar Patel School received bomb threat messages on Tuesday. Police have started an investigation into the threatening emails and are carrying out security checks at the affected locations.

The threat sent to Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta was received on his official email address around 8:39 am. The message allegedly threatened to blow up the Assembly building with a bomb.

Delhi Assembly Premises Checked

Soon after receiving the threat, a Delhi Police team reached the Assembly premises and conducted a detailed security inspection. Officials said all precautionary measures were being followed as part of the security protocol.

Police teams are examining the email trail to identify the sender and verify the authenticity of the threat.

Sardar Patel School Also Receives Threat

Apart from the Assembly, Sardar Patel School also received a security threat on Tuesday. Authorities are currently gathering more details about the nature of the threat.

The latest alerts come amid heightened security arrangements in the national capital due to upcoming high-level events and increased surveillance across sensitive locations.

Probe Underway

Delhi Police officials said necessary security procedures are being followed and further investigation into the threatening messages is underway.

Authorities are also checking whether the latest threats are connected to similar bomb threat emails received by other schools and government establishments in Delhi.
