New Delhi: Pakistan returned Indian BSF jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw on 14 May 2025. This incident happened when the BSF jawan accidentally crossed the international border and reached Pakistan, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

After this, Pakistan Rangers arrested him. The BSF jawan now recalled those dreadful days spent in Pakistan and shared many important things in a phone conversation with his wife, Rajni.

Purnam Kumar Shaw said that when he was locked up in Pakistan, he was not even allowed to sleep. The Pakistanis interrogated him continuously, as if he were a spy. However, Shaw also said that he was not physically tortured, but he used to get mentally tired due to the interrogation all night. Shaw said that after every night's interrogation he could not sleep, and he felt very tired.

According to Rajni, Shaw did not have any shortage of food, but he was not allowed to clean his teeth. Whenever he spoke to his wife on the phone, he looked very tired and upset. Rajni also said that he was taken to different places in Pakistan many times, and once he was even taken to an airbase.

Rajini became very emotional on the return of Purnam Shaw. She said that all this has been possible only with the cooperation of the Government of India. She thanked Prime Minister Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Rajni said that amid the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, her family was very scared about what would happen now. But due to the efforts of the Indian government, her husband was able to return home.

The BSF also informed us that this incident happened when some farmers crossed the border from Gate No. 208/1 to reach the fields to harvest wheat. Two BSF jawans were also with them.

Due to the heat, Purnam Kumar Shaw sat in the shade of a nearby tree. Then a Pakistani farmer saw him and informed the Pakistani Rangers. Shortly after, Pak Rangers caught Shaw and took away his rifle, which they took away with them.

But after Shaw's return Rajni and her family are relieved. Stay tuned to Dynamite News for further updates.
