CBI books Ordnance Factory officer in disproportionate assets case

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a disproportionate assets (DA) case against Amit Singh, the then Chief General Manager, Ordnance Equipment Factory, Hazratpur, Firozabad. He is presently posted at Troop Comforts Ltd. Training Academy, Kanpur

Case Registered
The case was registered 26 February 2026, following allegations that the officer amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income during the period from 1 April 2022, to 31 December 2025.

Amit Singh is allegedly accused of having assets worth Rs 5558471 about 74% more than his legitimate income, which he allegedly could not satisfactorily account for.

Raids Conducted
The case was registered, the raids were conducted on 27 February at five residential and office premises linked to the accused in Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Kanpur.

During the searches, investigators recovered and seized several incriminating documents related to immovable properties, bank accounts, credit cards, and vehicles. Details of three residential properties - located in Agra, Lucknow, and Bareilly - were obtained. Officials said a flat in Agra was purchased in 2025, while another in Lucknow was acquired in 2023.

Documents And Jewellery Seized
The CBI also recovered jewellery valued at approximately Rs 49 lakh and Rs 5 lakh in cash from the accused’s residential premises in Agra and Lucknow. Documents related to various expenses and investments were also seized during the operation.

Further investigation is underway.
