New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 re-evaluation process has been delayed, as the board’s re-evaluation portal remains “under maintenance” as of 3 PM today.

CBSE has assured students that the verification and re-evaluation portal will be “live soon.” Students who wish to apply will be able to do so on the official website, cbse.gov.in.

Ajitesh Basani, Executive Director of Acharya Bangalore B-School (ABBS), highlighted the broader implications: “For many students, re-evaluation is not just about marks—it can influence college admissions, scholarships, and other critical academic decisions.

The delay has understandably left students and parents anxious at a time when clarity is most needed. While ensuring a fair and accurate review is important, timely communication and quicker resolution are equally critical so that students can plan their next steps with confidence.”

Jyoti Gupta, Principal of KR Mangalam World School, added: “The Ministry of Education should consider extending deadlines for undergraduate admissions so that students do not miss out on applying due to delays in updating marks.”

The technical glitches in the CBSE re-evaluation portal have caused frustration, with many students sharing their concerns on social media.

How to Apply for Re-evaluation/Verification

Students can apply for re-evaluation or verification via the CBSE portal. Key points to note:

• The status of requests will be available through the candidate’s login.
• Even a decrease of a single mark will be reflected in the final result.
• Re-evaluation results are final and binding; no further appeals will be entertained.
• Candidates must ensure that all application details are accurate, as errors can delay or affect the processing of requests.

To assist students and parents, CBSE has activated a Tele-Counselling Helpline at 1800 11 8004, which provides guidance on verification, re-evaluation, and other post-result procedures.

The board’s move to temporarily suspend the portal is expected to strengthen technical preparedness and reduce potential disruptions once applications reopen. Thousands of students seek re-evaluation each year, making post-result processes a critical phase in academic planning.
