The incident took place in Nelakanker village, under the Usur police station area of the district. Naxalites carried out the attack on the night of Friday, October 24th. They killed two young men. The deceased have been identified as Ravi Kattam (25 years old) and Tirupati Sodhi (38 years old). The brother of the deceased, Ravi Kattam, is a CRPF jawan.
