CJP Chalo Sansad March: Abhijeet Dipke ‘Picked Up’ by Police; Saurav Das Claims Protesters Were Beaten

The CJP has claimed that its founder, Abhijeet Dipke, was picked up by police during the "Chalo Sansad" protest in Delhi, as the party alleged a crackdown on demonstrators.

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday claimed that its founder, Abhijeet Dipke, was picked up by police during the party's "Chalo Sansad" march in the national capital, where protesters had gathered to demand education reforms and action over alleged examination irregularities.

The claim was made by CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das in a post on X.

CJP Alleges Police Crackdown

In his post, Das said Dipke had been "picked up by the police" and appealed to Members of Parliament to extend support to the protesting students.

"We request all MPs to immediately stand in support of the students on the streets. The police is brutally cracking down and beating up peaceful protesters," Das wrote.

The claims made by the CJP could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate official statement from Delhi Police on Dipke's status or the allegations at the time of publication.

Tension During ‘Chalo Sansad’ March

The development came as thousands of protesters attempted to march towards Parliament on the opening day of the Monsoon Session.

Heavy security arrangements were in place across central Delhi, with multiple layers of barricades and a large deployment of Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel. Clashes were reported at several locations after protesters attempted to move past security barricades.

The CJP has been leading protests demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and wider reforms in the examination system over alleged irregularities in NEET-UG 2026 and other education-related issues.
