Cockroach Janta Party protest at Jantar Mantar enters day 2
New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) continued its indefinite sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar on Sunday, maintaining pressure on the government over alleged examination irregularities and demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The demonstration, led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, entered another day after protesters chose to remain at the site despite instructions from authorities to vacate the area. The organisation had recently conducted protests in several cities before returning to the national capital to intensify its campaign.
At the same time Dipke has appealed to the Delhi Police not to stop people from coming to Jantar Mantar to take part in the protest.

According to CJP leaders, the protest aims to draw attention to concerns surrounding examination management and alleged irregularities in competitive tests. The organisation has called for accountability and action against those responsible, while reiterating its demand for the resignation of the Education Minister.
Supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar have maintained that the issue extends beyond a single examination and concerns the future of millions of students across the country.
Ahead of Sunday's gathering, Abhijeet Dipke alleged that access to water facilities for protesters had been disrupted. He claimed that water supply linked to public restroom facilities used by demonstrators had been affected, making conditions more difficult for those participating in the sit-in.
Authorities have not publicly responded to the allegation.
With the NEET-UG re-examination being conducted on Sunday, Dipke extended his wishes to candidates appearing for the test. He also appealed to students to join the protest after completing their examination.
The re-test is being held at thousands of centres across the country and involves around 22 lakh aspirants. The examination was rescheduled after the earlier test was cancelled due to a paper leak controversy.
As the sit-in enters a new phase, protesters have indicated that they intend to continue their campaign until their demands are addressed, keeping Jantar Mantar at the centre of the ongoing debate over examination reforms and accountability.
