New Delhi: The weather across the country has been displaying a mixed character these past few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), varying weather conditions are being observed across different regions due to the influence of Western Disturbances and seasonal shifts associated with the onset of summer.

North India is currently experiencing the impact of rain and thunderstorms, while the southern and eastern parts of the country are witnessing a steady rise in temperatures.

Rain and Snowfall in Hilly Regions

Weather conditions remain cool across the Western Himalayan regions. There is a likelihood of rain and snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir and the surrounding hilly areas.

Temperatures could drop further in high-altitude regions due to fresh snowfall.

The Situation in Delhi-NCR

Delhi-NCR is expected to remain partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain accompanied by gusty winds.

Temperatures are likely to range between 23°C and 34°C. In the coming days, the influence of a Western Disturbance could also trigger thunderstorms.

Weather Changes in Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, weather conditions are expected to deviate slightly from the norm. Several districts will remain cloudy, and isolated pockets may witness rain and thunderstorms.

Relief from the Heat in Rajasthan

Many parts of Rajasthan will remain cloudy, and strong winds are expected to blow across the region. Some locations may also experience light rainfall, offering a measure of relief from the heat.

Impact of Snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir

The likelihood of rain and snowfall persists in the higher reaches of Jammu & Kashmir. These conditions are a result of the continued activity of a Western Disturbance.

Weather Update for West and Central India

Ahmedabad and certain parts of Gujarat may experience light rain or thunderstorms alongside the prevailing heat. Parts of Punjab may also witness isolated spells of rain accompanied by strong winds.

Rising Heat in South India

Chennai is expected to experience hot and humid weather, with temperatures likely to rise further. Mumbai will also continue to experience hot and humid conditions, although there is a possibility of light rainfall. Heatwaves are anticipated in Hyderabad and Telangana. Parts of Karnataka may experience thunderstorms and overcast skies.

The impact of the weather is being observed in various forms across the country. While some regions are experiencing rain and cooler temperatures, others are grappling with intense heat.
