Earlier, on Sunday, CM Saini made a significant announcement regarding the 'Lado Lakshmi Yojana'. He said that, as promised to the women of the state during the assembly elections, financial transfers to their accounts would begin soon.
In a post on X, CM Saini said: "We had promised in our manifesto to provide ₹2100 per month to our sisters under the 'Lado Lakshmi Yojana'. A budgetary provision of ₹5000 crore has been made for this in the budget session. Implementation of the scheme is underway, and soon ₹2100 will begin to be transferred to women’s bank accounts."
On Sunday, during a meeting of the Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority, CM Saini ordered the suspension of Municipal Corporation’s Chief Engineer Birendra Kardam and directed that an FIR be registered against him.
This action came after a review of works under the AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) scheme revealed that the contractor had not completed the assigned work, yet around 80% of the payment had already been made through the Chief Engineer.
The AMRUT scheme, initiated by the central government, involved development works worth ₹150 crore starting in 2019. Under this, sewer and water pipelines were to be laid in the Tilpat and Palla areas.
