Covid-19: First death from Corona in Delhi; Over 2700 active cases across India

New Delhi: The capital city has recorded its first Corona death, as a 60-year-old woman died following post-surgical complications. The woman was admitted to the hospital after complaining of stomach ache and vomiting, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Corona virus is spreading rapidly in the country. The cases are also increasing continuously in Delhi. The Union Health Ministry released the latest report and said that a 60-year-old woman has died.

A total of 294 new cases of corona virus have been registered in Delhi. At the same time, Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Singh has also reacted to the first death from Corona.

Pankaj Singh said, 'According to my information, the woman was 75 years old. She had many problems. The correct report will come soon. All the information will be available.'

The treating doctors said that the patient was admitted to the hospital after complaining of unbearable stomach pain and vomiting. Acute Intestinal Obstruction was found in her during the investigation.

When routine tests were done after the operation, Covid was confirmed. However, the patient did not have any Corona symptoms beforehand.

Union Health Ministry

According to the Union Health Ministry, the total cases of corona infection in the country have now reached 2710. In the last 24 hours, 7 people have lost their lives across the country, while 511 new patients have been reported.

The highest number of cases have been reported from Kerala. The total number of infected people here has reached 1147. Apart from this, 424 cases have been registered in Maharashtra and 223 in Gujarat.

Corona Cases In Other states

In Maharashtra two deaths have been confirmed, while one death each has been confirmed in Punjab, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Gujarat.

The Health Department has instructed the states to remain alert and give priority to testing, tracing and vaccination.

Keeping in view the increase in Corona cases once again, it is appealed to all to wear masks and avoid crowds.

The Health Officials have reiterated that though the majority of new cases are mild, the elderly and those with poor health conditions must be very careful in day-to-day life.

The government is also keeping a close watch on the situation.
