Dehradun: Security and intelligence system active for Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: There is an atmosphere of panic in the whole country due to the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. After the incident, high alert was issued in the whole country, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Vigilance has been increased in the state in view of the attack. After checking overnight, the police continued checking in the border areas during the day as well.

Yatra Begins On 30 April

Chardham Yatra will start from 30 April and all the preparations have been finalized. Additional police force will also be deployed in the border areas. Apart from this, instructions have been given to continuously exchange information with the border states.

Security Tightened

During the Chardham Yatra, Home Guards will also take charge along with the SDRF. During the journey, women jawans of SDRF Uttarakhand Police will also be deployed on the routes. So that first aid and necessary assistance can be provided to the women devotees during the journey.

Trained home guards will also be appointed to increase the manpower in the posts of SDRF.

According to the information, apart from the Chardham Yatra, lakhs of tourists visit places like Dehradun, Mussoorie, Tehri, Nainital etc. Extra vigilance is being taken to ensure that there is no lapse in their security. Intelligence has also been asked to remain in constant touch with the national agencies. So that all kinds of information can be exchanged.

DGP Issued Guidelines

Director General of Police Deepam Seth issued guidelines to the police of all the districts on Wednesday. A red alert has been issued regarding security after the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Uttarakhand, one of the favorite places of tourists in the hilly states.

Checking is being done by making barrier points from the city to the rural areas. Apart from this, instructions have been given to make an action plan for security on the Chardham Yatra routes as well. Instructions have been given for intensive checking by keeping a day and night vigil on the borders adjoining other states. In this sequence, police officers are also deployed on the roads in Dehradun.

The Director General of Police has given instructions to install a network of CCTV cameras in the state and keep 24-hour surveillance.
