Humid Conditions and Rising Temperatures Raise Heat Concerns
New Delhi: Delhi is expected to experience intense summer conditions on Thursday, with the maximum temperature likely to touch 45 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to remain around 36 degrees Celsius, offering little relief from the ongoing heatwave-like conditions across the national capital.
Weather conditions throughout the day are expected to remain extremely hot, with temperatures hovering close to 36 degrees Celsius during most hours. Residents may experience harsh daytime conditions due to continuous dry heat and warm winds.
According to the forecast, winds are expected to blow at a speed of nearly 5.9 kmph, while gusts could reach up to 10.25 kmph. The wind direction is predicted to remain around 274 degrees, indicating predominantly westerly winds that may further intensify dry weather conditions in the city.
The sun rose at 5:27 AM on Thursday and is expected to set at 7:08 PM, resulting in long and hot daytime hours.
The seven-day forecast suggests that Delhi’s temperatures will continue to rise steadily over the coming days. While Friday may record a high of 44 degrees Celsius, temperatures are likely to climb to 46 degrees Celsius between Saturday and Monday. By Tuesday and Wednesday, the mercury could peak at 47 degrees Celsius, signalling an extended spell of extreme summer heat in the capital.
