New Delhi: The national capital is expected to experience hot and dry weather conditions on Wednesday, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 41 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is forecast to remain around 30 degrees Celsius, providing little respite from the prevailing heat.
Weather estimates suggest that the temperature may hover close to 33 degrees Celsius for much of the day. Residents are advised to take precautions against prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during afternoon hours when heat intensity is expected to peak.
Delhi is likely to witness light to moderate winds with an average speed of around 5.21 kmph. The winds are expected to blow from the southwest direction at approximately 249 degrees, while gusts could reach up to 7.25 kmph. Despite the airflow, weather conditions are expected to remain warm and uncomfortable.
According to the forecast, the sun will rise at 5:23 AM and set at 7:20 PM on Wednesday, resulting in a long and warm day across the city.
The seven-day weather outlook points to sustained high temperatures in Delhi. The maximum temperature is expected to touch 42 degrees Celsius on Thursday, dip slightly to 41 degrees Celsius on Friday, and rise again to 42 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
The heat is likely to intensify further from Sunday onwards, with temperatures forecast to reach 43 degrees Celsius on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The extended spell of hot weather could increase discomfort levels and raise the risk of heat-related illnesses.
