Delhi-NCR Weather Takes a Sudden U-Turn as Rain and Storms Arrive for Three Days

Continuous rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are forecast in Delhi-NCR from March 18 to 20. IMD has issued a yellow alert for March 20. People are likely to get relief from the heat due to falling temperatures.

New Delhi: According to the India Meteorological Department, the weather will remain continuously changed in Delhi NCR for the next three days. The sky will be densely cloudy; it will rain, and strong winds will blow.

The Meteorological Department says that due to this change the temperature will drop and people will get relief from the heat. The weather will feel as if a monsoon-like atmosphere has developed in March itself.

March 17: cloudy

On March 17, the entire NCR, including Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad, will remain cloudy.

Maximum Temperature: 30–32°C

Minimum temperature: 14–16°C

Wind Speed: 15–25 km/h

March 18: Rain and dust storm

There is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in Delhi-NCR due to the impact of western disturbances on March 18.

During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 30–50 km/hour, and dust storms can also be seen in many places.

March 19: Cloudy and light rain throughout the day

On March 19 also, the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day, and there may be light rain. There will be less sunshine, and due to the drop in temperature, the weather will remain pleasant and cool.

March 20: Yellow alert of heavy rain

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for March 20. There is a possibility of heavy rain, strong storms, and lightning on this day.

Wind Speed: Up to 50 km/h

The weather will change rapidly in the afternoon and evening.

Chance of rain with thunder

IMD has advised people to exercise caution and keep an eye on weather updates.
