New Delhi: A major accident took place at a CNG station in Delhi’s Tikri Kalan area on Wednesday after a gas tank fitted in a truck exploded. Three people is feared dead, while six others sustained injuries in the incident, officials said.

The Delhi Fire Service received information about the explosion at around 3:37 pm, following which emergency teams were rushed to the spot.

Six People Injured In Blast

According to a fire service official, the injured people were standing near the truck when the CNG tank suddenly exploded. All six injured persons were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Officials said that the condition of the injured is being monitored, while further details about the incident are awaited.

Rescue Operation Underway

Fire department teams reached the location soon after receiving the alert and carried out necessary rescue measures. The exact reason behind the explosion is yet to be ascertained.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the CNG tank blast at the station. Further updates are expected as the probe progresses.
