Barnala: At least three laborers were killed, and one is feared trapped under the debris after a double-storey house collapsed during repair work at Pharwahi village in Barnala on Sunday.

According to reports, the house belonged to Vishal, son of Jeevan Kumar, a resident of Pharwahi.
Unstable Structure
The structure had reportedly become unstable after sewage water seeped into its foundation, causing one side to weaken and sink. Renovation work, including efforts to raise the structure, was being carried out by a contractor, from Moga.
On Saturday night, four laborers Bobby Singh, Prince, Gurjit Singh, and another unidentified youth, all residents of Moga, were sleeping inside the house. On Sunday morning, one of the walls suddenly gave way, triggering the collapse of the entire structure.
Their bodies have been placed in the mortuary at Civil Hospital, Barnala. Meanwhile, rescue teams continue to search for the fourth youth.
