Dyal Singh Evening College organized its first Alumni Meet on February 24, 2026, bringing together former students, faculty, and dignitaries. The event celebrated legacy, strengthened alumni ties, honored past educators, and outlined future plans for mentorship and institutional development.

New Delhi: Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi, successfully conducted its first Alumni Meet on 24 February 2026. The event witnessed the presence of 150 attendees, including former students, faculty members, and distinguished guests, in a lively and nostalgic atmosphere.
The event started with the lighting of the lamp, followed by the rendition of the national song Vande Mataram and the University Kulgeet, which set a noble and cultural tone.
The inaugural address was delivered by Principal Prof. Bhawna Pandey. She expressed her happiness at the Alumni Meet being conducted for the very first time in the legacy of Dyal Singh Evening College. She also expressed that more meaningful and fruitful interactions would take place, leading to a stronger bond between the alumni and the college.
The welcome address was given by Dr. Mahesh Kumar Deepak, Convenor of the Alumni Committee. In his address, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Deepak welcomed the participants and highlighted the significance of alumni interaction in fostering institutional relations.

Dr. Vishal Sahai, President of the Alumni Committee SETU, the official Alumni Association of the college, played an important role in the smooth conduct of the program. He also encouraged the present alumni to actively participate in Alumni Association activities.
The Alumni Meet was attended by former Principal Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, under whom the SETU Alumni Association of the college was formed in 2022.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Programme Coordinator Prof. Poonam Gupta. A tribute was paid to the Late Principal Shri Deepak Malhotra and revered late teachers who built the college brick by brick with their great efforts. The session was concluded with the National Anthem.
The meeting also touched upon future plans to enhance alumni interactions, such as conducting regular meetings with alumni, mentorship sessions for current students, and other academic activities for the growth of the institution. A few games and engaging activities were also conducted as part of the program.
