To ease the traffic, NHAI is soon going to begin a 67 km long new journey (connectivity road) between Bandikui and Jaipur. This road will further reduce the distance from Delhi to Jaipur through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
Rajasthan Regional Officer Pradeep Atri said that this is a four-lane access controlled road, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1,368 crore. It can be opened for trial by mid-July.
According to NHAI Manager Pushpendra Singh, the construction of this road has been completed in about 2.5 years. As soon as it starts, the traffic pressure on the Delhi-Jaipur highway will reduce and the journey will also become faster.
At present, it takes about 2.5 hours from Delhi to Bandikui via Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and 1.5 hours from Bandikui to Jaipur. But as soon as this new spur starts, the entire journey can be completed in about 3 hours.
