Raipur: After raiding the residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in Bhilai, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has arrested his son Chaitanya Baghel. Chaitanya lives in the same house with his father Bhupesh Baghel, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
ED team has arrested Chaitanya Baghel on such an occasion when today is his birthday. This arrest has dampened the wave of happiness in the family.
The ED has taken action to arrest Chaitanya Baghel in the alleged liquor scam case. It is being told that after getting some important documents in the raid, the ED took Chaitanya into custody.
The ED team reached Chaitanya's residence in three vehicles early Friday morning and started searching his house under the protection of CRPF and police. It is being told that during this time the ED team found many documents, which are related to the alleged liquor scam and are related to Chaitanya Baghel.
ED officials say that after getting new evidence in the alleged liquor scam, Chaitanya Baghel's house is being searched under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
This action of ED has caused anger among Congress workers. When the ED team was going to raid inside Bhupesh Baghel's house, the workers opposed it. After this there was a heated argument between the police and the Congress workers. However, the police stopped them.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residence of Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. This action was taken under the money laundering investigation related to the alleged liquor scam. The ED had recently found some new evidence in this case, on the basis of which the Baghel family's residence in Bhilai was searched. Chaitanya Baghel lives in this house with his father.
It is worth noting that the day the raid took place was also Chaitanya Baghel's birthday. Congress workers were preparing to celebrate Chaitanya's birthday, but the sudden action of ED spread anger among them. Congress supporters termed it a well-planned conspiracy.
Reacting to the matter, Bhupesh Baghel said that efforts are being made to put political pressure on him and his family. He alleged that last year ED was sent on his birthday and this time on his son's birthday. Baghel clearly said that he will not be afraid and will not bow down to any pressure.
