The biggest strategic aspect of this visit is considered to be the potential defense agreement for 114 Rafale fighter aircraft, estimated to cost approximately ₹3.25 lakh crore. Emphasis on Innovation, AI, and Start-up Collaboration

President Macron and Prime Minister Modi will launch the India-France Innovation Year 2026 and emphasize expanding partnerships in areas such as AI, digital governance, and cybersecurity. Both countries may take concrete decisions to advance joint projects in higher education, research, and the start-up ecosystem. This cooperation is considered crucial in future technological competition.
