New Delhi: If you also often travel on the National Highway in your car, then you are at right place. The Government is starting the facility of FASTag based annual pass. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari shared information about this in his X post on Wednesday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
He said in his post that the government is starting the facility of FASTag based annual pass of Rs 3,000. This pass will be issued from 15th August and it will be issued only for non-commercial private vehicles.
Gadkari said that this pass will be valid for one year from the date of activation or for 200 trips, whichever is earlier. This charge will be Rs 15 for one trip.
Currently, at any toll plaza on the National Highway, you have to pay toll charge ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 200 and Rs 300. This 'Annual i' from Gadkari will make travel on National Highways across the country easier and cheaper. He said that a link to activate and renew it will soon be available on the Highway Travel App and the official website of NHAI and MoRTH.

This policy implemented by the Government will remove the concerns related to toll plazas within a radius of 60 km. Apart from this, paying toll will become very economical and easy. This will also reduce the waiting time at the toll plaza. This annual pass will provide fast and easy travel options to lakhs of private vehicle owners.
The Government is working in speed to make this annual pass easily available to all users. To activate or renew this pass, a separate link will soon be made available on the Highway Travel App and NHAI / MoRTH websites. Through which users will be able to visit this link and submit the annual pass.
The Union Minister said in his post that this new policy will also align the long-standing concerns regarding toll plazas located within a radius of 60 km and will make toll payments seamless through a single accessible transaction. This annual FASTag pass is expected to have many benefits. This will also free the users from the hassle of recharging FASTag again and again.
