Five IAS officers reassigned new responsibilities, given charge of Namami Gange project

The Uttarakhand government on Thursday effected major reshuffles in the responsibilities of 5 IAS officers.

Dehradun: There is big news of a change in responsibilities of five IAS officers in Uttarakhand on Friday. The government issued an order to this effect on Thursday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

According to the order issued, 2018 batch IAS Vishal Mishra has been given the responsibility of Project Director Namami Gange. Along with this, he will also remain the director of GMVN and Jal Jeevan Mission.

The responsibility of Project Director Namami Gange has been taken back from 2009 batch IAS Ranveer Singh Chauhan. He will continue to be the secretary of sugarcane and sugar, the state property department, project director KFW, and director general of agriculture and horticulture.

At the same time, Tehri DM Nitika Khandelwal has now also been given the responsibility of Vice President of District Development Authority Tehri.

2017 batch IAS Additional Secretary of Urban Development Gaurav Kumar has also been given the responsibility of Additional Secretary of IT, Suraj and Science Technology, and Managing Director of Hiltron.

2018 batch IAS Apoorva Pandey is currently looking after the responsibility of Additional Secretary of Drinking Water and Home. The post of Swajal Director has been added to his responsibilities.

A week ago, 5 IAS and PCS officers were transferred in the Uttarakhand government. The transfer order was issued late in the evening. According to the transfer order, DMs of many districts have also been changed. These districts include the Pauri, Rudraprayag, Champawat, and Uttarkashi districts.

Prateek Jain has been made the District Magistrate of Rudraprayag. Manish Kumar has been given the responsibility of Champawat. Prashant Kumar Arya has been made the DM of Uttarkashi. Swati Bhadauria has been made the DM of Pauri Garhwal. Ashish Kumar, who was looking after the responsibility of Pauri DM, has been given the responsibility of UCADA.

There has been a change in the responsibilities of the chief secretary to the district magistrate and PCS officers. Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, who was looking after Jalgam for a long time, has now lost this responsibility.

Similarly, Sachin Kurve, who was looking after the responsibility of tourism for many years, has also been removed now. Dhiraj Singh has been called in his place. Till now he was looking after the responsibility of the Minority Welfare Department.

Talking about PCS officers, Ramanji Sharan Sharma has been made the Chief Development Officer of Almora. Shiv Kumar Barnwal has been made the Secretary of the Subordinate Services Selection Commission.

Raza Abbas has been given the responsibility of Apan Municipal Commissioner Dehradun. Fincharam has been made Additional District Magistrate of Haridwar. Pyare Lal Shah has been made the Municipal Commissioner of Kotdwar. Devendra Singh Negi has been made the Deputy Collector of Haridwar.
