Gold Price Today Rate: Gold and silver prices drop this week; check rates in your city

There has been a decline in the prices of gold and silver this week. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), gold has become cheaper by ₹ 2,907 while the price of silver has fallen by ₹ 1,582.

New Delhi: There has been a clear decline in the prices of gold and silver since the beginning of this week. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold on June 21 was ₹ 98,691, which has come down to ₹ 95,784 on June 28. That is, gold has become cheaper by ₹ 2,907 this week.

At the same time, the price of silver has also come down. On June 21, 1 kg of silver was at ₹ 106,775, which has now become ₹ 105,193. That is, silver has become cheaper by ₹ 1,582.

A slight difference was also seen in the price of gold in different cities of the country. In Delhi, 24-carat gold is ₹ 97,570 and 22-carat gold is ₹ 89,450 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, 24-carat gold is at ₹ 97,420 and 22-carat at ₹ 89,300, while in Bhopal, 24-carat was recorded at ₹ 97,470 and 22-carat at ₹ 89,350.

How expensive did gold become this year?

On January 1, 2025, 24-carat gold was ₹ 76,162 per 10 grams. So far it has increased by ₹ 19,622 and has reached ₹ 95,784. On the other hand, talking about silver, it has also increased from ₹ 86,017 per kg to ₹ 105,193.

Experts advise buying only BIS-hallmarked gold. There is a 6-digit hallmark code on gold, which is called HUID (Hallmark Unique Identification Number). This code certifies how many carats the gold is.

Jaipur jeweler Puranmal Soni informed that the prices of gold and silver may fall further from July 6. This day is Devshayani Ekadashi, due to which auspicious functions are banned for four months. This reduces the number of weddings and other events, due to which their demand decreases and prices start falling.
