Good news for daily Delhi-Noida commuters: Road from Mahamaya Flyover to DND Loop to be widened

Noida: There is relief news for lakhs of drivers of Delhi-NCR. Noida Authority has decided to widen the part of Noida Expressway from Mahamaya Flyover to DND Loop. Under this project, the road in front of Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal, located in Sector-95, will be widened. This initiative will solve the biggest problem of jam on the expressway.

According to the information received by the Dynamite News correspondent, to start this work, Noida Authority needed permission (NOC) from the Management, Security, and Maintenance Committee of Monuments, Museums, Institutions, Parks, Upvans, etc., of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The authority had sought NOC on 26 September 2024, which has now been received.

After this, now the authority will soon start the tender process for road widening.

The major jam point will end

Noida Authority officials said that the part from Mahamaya Flyover to DND is the point with the highest traffic pressure on the expressway. Heavy traffic jams are created here during peak hours. For this reason, it has been decided to widen this road. This work was not possible without NOC, but now, after getting administrative approval, the work will start soon.

How will the widening be done?

Under the widening work, the road will be widened in a length of about 600 meters in Sector 95. Currently, there is a 1-meter roadside track, a 1.4-meter-wide footpath, and a 3.1-meter paved tile surface. By removing these, a total of 5.5-meter-wide service lane will be prepared. After this, the total width of the road will reach 45 meters for the road carriageway.

5 lakh vehicles benefit daily

About 5 lakh vehicles traveling between Delhi and Noida use this route every day. Due to the problem of jam, common people as well as emergency services face problems. With the widening of the road, the traffic flow will improve, and vehicles will get great relief from the jam.

Work on one side has already been done

The widening work has already been completed on the opposite side of this road. Now the road is being widened on the other side as well, so that this entire area will be ready for balanced and systematic traffic movement.

A senior official of the Noida Authority said that getting the NOC was an important step. Now the tender process will be started. Our effort is to start the construction work as soon as possible and give relief to the people from the problem of traffic jams.
